Perl 5.32 Beta Now Available

I’m pleased to announce the limited release of ActiveState’s Perl 5.32 Beta. With Perl 5.32, we’re reimagining how you work with Perl from ActiveState. Rather than downloading a pre-built distribution of packages, you’ll get:

  • A unified, cloud-based toolchain that will automatically build dependencies (including linked C libraries) for Linux and Windows
  • Virtual environment support that automatically creates isolated working directories so you can work with multiple projects without dependency conflicts
  • Pure Open Source licensing: modules you install have just their original licensing

And if you missed Perl Package Manager (PPM), we hope you’ll give Perl 5.32’s server-side build capabilities a try and let us know how you think it compares.
