Build Error: setuptools 58.3.0 for Python 3.9.6 on Windows

Looking for help with this package that is failing to build in my project.

Runtime Details

  • ActiveState
  • Language - python 3.9.6
  • Platform - Windows

Failing Packages

  • setuptools 58.3.0

This is my first experience with Komodo, mwhich I want tousefor a standar javascript/phpproject. Incorporating setuptools seems tofail repeatedly. Ewhat should I do?

Hello, I was browsing and saw your post so I thought I would test the runtime myself:

TL;DR I found myself in a very similar situation as you. Downgrading from setuptools 58.3.0 to 58.2.0 allowed my project to build successfully! On Platform I was able to click ā€œEdit your Runtimeā€ for setuptools which allowed me to choose from a selection of prior versions. I chose the 2nd-to-latest. The build is successful for my test but perhaps you have other dependencies in play. Hope this helps!
