Data Manager for HSRD ( Health System Research and Development ) arm of VA Administration.

The majority of my tasks is pulling data from our operational data store for studies and research efforts.

I have used PERL as a tool to connect to databases and run SQL procedures or statements, as well as leverage PERL’s text processing capabilities and a plethora of other packages - such as reading/writing from Excel workbooks and lately, pulling and updating data in REDCap - a web platform specific for creating forms and surveys for research studies.
