Quickopen is an extension for Komodo Edit which allows to open files from active project quickly.

1. Install the extension in Komodo Edit.
2. In Komodo Edit go to Edit->Preferences->Editor->Key bindings.
3. Assign a key sequence for "General: Quick Open...".

1. Press the key sequence you assigned above.
2. Start typing the name of file you'd like to open.
3. You will see the list of files that match your input.

* The quickopen extension searches through files of the active project only. To make the project active go to Projects->Make Active Project and select the needed project.
* If the list of files contains something unneeded it can be reduced by excluding certain files or folders. To achieve this right click on the project in Project sidebar, select Properties then "Directory Import" and edit "Files and Directories to exclude".

Quick Open does not work anymore in 5.2 alpha.
I worked out a fix for that based on the fast open code:

Open quickopen.js from the content folder of the package.

Change Line 72:

opener.ko.views.manager.openViewAsync( 'editor' , fileuri, null );

Thanks for the fix. I updated the extension and uploaded the new version.

Just a couple of bugs:

- Adding a new file to a project doesn't add it to the list of files in the quick open window.

- Similarly if a file is removed from a project, either by deleting it from within KE or from the file system, the file list doesn't update and the deleted file will still be listed.

- Sometimes when selecting a file to open, it doesn't open. My process for doing this is to hit the hot key, type part of the filename, use the down arrow to highlight the file I want and then press enter to open it. Occasionally this fails to open the file but doing exactly the same thing a second time works.

I'm using KE 5.2, Quick Open 0.5
