Hi Troy,
thanks alot for creating this extension! I can't believe I am the first one to comment on this.
Please, could you upgrade the extension so it runs with the current version of Komodo Edit?
Thanks!

I've updated the add-on to work for Komodo 8. I've only tested the templates, but things seem to be working there.

Cheers,
Todd

Hi Todd,

that's fantastic support, thanks alot!!!
One more thing: the referenced DTDs in the extension are not up to date, the current version is 1.2.
The files are located here: http://docs.oasis-open.org/dita/v1.2/ - maybe you could update this and upload again?
When Dita 1.3 is out, I will try myself, just starting with Komodo...

Best,
Daniel

I've tweaked the add-on to use 1.2. If you can drag/drop this link into Komodo to test it out:

Thanks, Todd! Autocompletion of the XML elements is working now, so I can start working.
What confuses me, in the declaration the templates still refer to DITA 1.1:
"<!DOCTYPE task PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DITA Topic//EN"

I have installed the DITA 1.2.2 addon and also restarted Komodo ;)

Do you have a clue? Thanks again!

Yes, I'd forgotten to update the templates to use the updated "1.2" version. Fixed now (in version 1.2.3).

Cheers,
Todd

Great, it is working now - thanks alot!!
I know I sound like Columbo, but one more thing: autocompletion of XML elements works, but in XML editors like Oxygen you also get suggestions for valid elements in the current context. You can just go an pick the next element, which makes editing much easier. I think I have also seen this in Serna. Do you think it is possible to enable this in Komodo as well?

Daniel

ps: I have already added the catalog-dita.xml file to the XML catalogs under Preferences.
