Hi all,

i'm new at the komodo ide (4.2!). i've used zend platform before. now i run into trouble because the php syntax support isn't great at komodo.

example:
if i type IF, nothing happens. i become none php functions. in zend when i typed IF, i get a list of many functions.
also when i typed WHILE - nothing comes up.
if i type str - only 5 functions come up. in zend greater 10 and more ...

if i press the check configuration in komodo start page it says:
PHP: Debugging: Not Functional - Syntax Checking: Not Functional.

can anyone help me to use komodo with php?

Hello all,

New to Komodo here. Decided to give it a try for some PHP work. Just a quick setup question though. I use MAMP to set up a local server, and was just wondering how to go about configuring Komodo Edit to use the PHP version that comes with MAMP. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

So, I have this XML file, and it's almost 250k lines long. When I open it up in Komodo Edit 4.2 (OS X 10.4), it won't let me scroll very far down the page with the scroll bar. It will go down a bit, but then jump back up to the top if I try to drag it farther down the page. I can scroll with the keyboard just fine, but if I want to jump down to, say, a line in the 100,000 range, it is almost impossible. The farthest I can get without it jumping back up to the top is around line 32,700. Even using the arrow keys on the scroll bar does nothing. anyone else notice similar behavior?

Hi i have a simple example here

this will not compile or run on my osx tiger machine,

i have python 2.51 IDE installed

this is the error message i get

any ideas

I'm having trouble with the code browser not display sections of my code for some of my PHP scripts. On some scripts it works just fine. On others nothing is displayed in the code browser and it keeps displaying "error evaluating" errors. More specifically it says "TypeError: 'NoneType' object is unscriptable". I'm guessing it has something to do with my script but I'm not sure what. Anyone have any ideas?

Any chance you can make the drupal personal contact form feature for authorized users on by default. Folks can still elect to turn it off but at least then we can use the form instead of posting our email addresses.

I've just started using komodo after being a long time user of eclipse.

I work with multiple svn and cvs repositories and the svc integration within eclipse allowed me to browse repositories and open projects from those repositories to create a new local project.

I've not found any way, other than to use the command line, to import an svn/cvs project from a repo. It's just a nit but I miss that very usable integrated experience and I figure Komodo has something similar.

I'm considering buying Komodo IDE, in trial right now.
I feel it is awkward to configure it for developing in Ruby.

As far as I know it is the only IDE for ruby, until CodeGear releases their Ruby IDE. I'm using TextMate, which is great, but not an IDE. Enough chat.

1. How do I get real code completion from my ruby 1.8.6 install?
2. How do I configure Rails? In preferences i have only an API for Rails 1.1.6
3. Where is the "API" Catalog for my installed version of Rails?
4. Essentially, how do I configure Komodo to work smooth with Ruby and Rails?

Komodo tells me debugging is functional.
But if i start debugging i get this message (You must specify the PHP executable used for the debug session.) and nothing goes. changing from cli to cgi no avail.

I'm in the dark. Pointed it to a Xampp install and to the regular php executable, both the same.

Cant find an answer in the forum, sorry.

I get a 'could not connect to server error" when I try to use the history command with a file under subversion control (see attached). Also, only the history and remove commands from the source control submenu are available, others are grayed out.

I am using Komodo 4.1
and subversion 1.4.4
