Hi

I am new here and just started using the IDE as well as Edit.
I am thinking to build an extension for a language (called lasso)that does not supported by KOMODO. I have read the post for komodo 4 and tried to follow the steps. But seem not working quite well with komodo 5.

Hello Komodo Community.

Since upgrading to (5.0 and now 5.0.1), I can no longer toggle the Word Wrap property using Shift + Command + 9.

Am I doing something wrong or was this functionality compromised by the upgrade for anybody else?

On my mac book pro, when I connect to my vpn, I have to set up my remote hosts all over. Then if I connect without my vpn, I have to set them up again. anyone have a suggestion as to what is causing this?

I have been using Komodo IDE on my windows PC to connect to remote sites using FTPS and SFTP for years now. I recently got a Mac and installed Komodo and attempted to setup these same remote sites but the connection always returns a blank error message. Is there any way I can debug or look into the Komodo code that is making the error? I'm pretty sure this is just a python object somewhere doing this. I see a successful connection on the server end but Komodo always fails to list the files.

I use the code sidebar to jump around in my function list, but I've noticed that where Komodo thinks a function is is now quite wrong, often by a hundred lines or more.

Is there a way to force it to rescan the file so that this indexing works properly?

I have just installed ActivePerl (OS X) and am trying to add modules using ppm. I am logged in as administrator. When I start ppm, I immediately get the following message:

All activated install areas are read-only. You cannot currently install or remove packages. Try enabling the uninitialized Areas in the Preferences dialog

When I open the Preferences dialog, I get a small window that has a tab that says "Areas" and an "OK" button. There are no options to do anything in this dialog except click on OK to close the window.

PHP 5.2.5
Komodo 4.4 (trial)

I configured the debugging option with the latest xdebug.so. As soon as I restart Apache the module crashes right after start.

Does anybody has an idea what went wrong?

I just upgraded from Komodo 4.3 to 4.4 and single-stepping through PHP code is noticeably slower than it was. I have to wait about 1.5 seconds from when I press a key to when the cursor reappears on the next line.

I'm on a MacBook Pro debugging with Apache/xdebug. Nothing else about my setup has changed since I did the upgrade.

Anyone else seeing this? Anyone from ActiveState know why this might be happening?

I've been eagerly awaiting the ability to sort local variables by name but if the price is ultra-slow stepping I may have to downgrade. :(

I think the subject pretty much explains the problem... Komodo Edit crashes instantly when trying to drag text that wraps onto two or more lines. Happens every time. It dies as you try to move the text, not when dropping it. I'm using Komodo Edit 4.3.2, on Mac OS X 10.4.11.

After each crash, the following is displayed in Console:

komodo-bin(296,0xa000d000) malloc: *** vm_allocate(size=4294914048) failed (error code=3)
komodo-bin(296,0xa000d000) malloc: *** error: can't allocate region
komodo-bin(296,0xa000d000) malloc: *** set a breakpoint in szone_error to debug

When I upgraded to 4.3 on Mac OSX, my preferences were lost. Does anybody know if 4.3.1 upgrades without clearing them? It's pretty annoying to have to reset all that.
