Should I be able to jump from my Output pane to the file/line of the error by double clicking? Have I not configured something right in Komodo?
For example:
Notice: Undefined variable: distFile in /Users/.../MyFile.php on line 30
For run-time errors like this, it would be nice to be able to jump to that point in the file.
Hi
I'm having a problem on OS X 10.5.1 with Komodo 4.2.1, build 283000, and ActivePerl-5.10.0.1002-darwin-8.11.0-gcc-283697.
If in the Perl Language preferences I direct Komodo to use
/usr/local/ActivePerl-5.10/bin/perl (which is itself a link to perl-dynamic)
then I am told that debugging is 'Not Functional' on the Feature Control Panel.
Further, I have added:
PATH=/usr/local/ActivePerl-5.10/bin:$PATH
PATH=/usr/local/ActivePerl-5.10/site/bin:$PATH
export PATH
to my .bash_profile, and bash correctly reports:
Nik:~ nik$ which perl

I am trying to put Komodo Edit user directory on a FAT32 drive using the export KOMODO_USERDATADIR=/Volumes/FAT32/data/komodo environment variable under OSX 10.5.1 Leopard/BaSH.
Unfortunately it does not work, as komodo dies with the following error message:
LSOpenFromURLSpec() failed with error -10810.
It has time to create the the 4.2/host-MacBook/ directories tree and to place two files in the latter: mutex.lock and running.lock
There is > 20GiB of disk space on FAT32 volume and it is not corrupted according to WinXP check tools.
Hello,
My Setup:
Komodo IDE, version 4.2.1, build 283000, platform macosx-x86.
Built on Tue Nov 13 13:45:25 2007.
OSX Leopard 1.5.1 Intel
The IDE tends to "Beachball" (Hang) when IDE is started, the main screen shows up, including content, but then a beachball appears and app is not responding to any clicks or keystrokes, also the standard OSX menu bar (The one with apple logo on it) does not show komodo menus, even when komodo window is focused upon.
IDE has to be killed hard and restarted, eventually it comes up but needs couple of retries.
Is this a know issue / bug?
Hi,
I have installed Komodo Edit 4.2 with my new leopard 10.5.1 but now each 20-30 minutes Komodo freeze: can "use" and move komodo's window but without type any in the editor and without possibility to save the files! I work with Transmit and open/save directory files in FTP.
Komodo alert me that the files are changed from the disk (when and where?)
and if I try to resave this file Komodo returns this message
www.ramin.it/alert2.jpg (and in Komodo is opened only 2-3 files!)
One of my projects gets the following error message with I try to save or exit:
"There was an error saving project "services.kpf":'NoneType' object has no attribute 'live'"
Any ideas?
I edited my .subversion file and specified an external diff tool. This works fine from the command line, but when I do a source control diff from Komodo, a practically blank "svn diff: filename.php" window still pops up. The external diff application is also launched in the background. Is there any way to configure Komodo not to pop up it's diff window? Any other suggestions?
Thanks=
If the line is too long, KomodoEdit will cut off all remaining characters (or rather show them all at the same place). This happens after the 4681th character. I tried with a KomodoEdit 4.1.1 and 4.2 on Leopard. Is this a known issue? Any fixes? Screenshots available on request :)
Ever since my upgrade to Leopard, I get a rainbow spinner upon Komodo startup that never goes away. When I force quit, it dumps stuff to the "send to apple" notifier. Not sure if that would be helpful here. I'm going to try a fresh install and see if that doesn't help. Oh yeah maybe a corrupt pref file too.
