Hi

I am trying to download the Win32::API module via ppm using the command 'ppm install Win32::API' at the command prompt of my Windows XP virtual machine. I get the following error:

'C:\..\0.0.1>ppm install Win32::API
Downloading Win32-API-0.64...redirect
Downloading Win32-API-0.64...failed 401 Authorization Required
ppm install failed: 401 Authorization Required'

My Perl version printout is as follows:

'C:\..\0.0.1>perl -v

This is perl, v5.10.0 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
(with 1 registered patch, see perl -V for more detail)

I looked up on your site and it asked me to buy the Business edition license of Active Perl to support older Perl versions and so I did. I got the license installer and also installed it on the XP virtual machine. However, inspite of all that I still get the 401 Authorization required error when I try to issue the 'ppm install Win32::API' package - what am I doing incorrectly?

Please response ASAP as I am in a dire need of this.

Thanks,
Kranti

Hi Stuart,

I was wondering if you are done with giving me the patch and the process for updating my Perl 5.10 PPM installer. I need this urgently as mentioned before and need to be able to install modules using the 'ppm install Win32::API' command as soon as possible.

Thanks for you support again.

Regards,
Kranti
