I didnot find the information as handy to make use of it.
Also changed the perl repository to different sources but is still not working

They will be installed on your system and available from the Start Menu|All Programs...

They are also online at:
http://docs.activestate.com/activeperl/5.14/faq/ActivePerl-faq2.html

The index page from our PPM servers will show you which module we have available so you don't waste time trying to install modules that aren't there:
http://code.activestate.com/ppm/

And if they aren't there, you can use this method to install them with source code directly from CPAN:
http://docs.activestate.com/activeperl/5.14/faq/ActivePerl-faq2.html#CPA...

Thanks Grahams for the reply. These are very helpful links and I have followed these to install few modules like DateTime, external sort related modules etc.But I am not able to install any modules using ppm.I was getting http 500 time out error. I have set the proxy variable http_proxy as mentioned in the document/FAQ.But even then I am not able to connect to any of the ppm repositories.I have added other repositories too.I am not sure if the issue is related to proxy or connecting to active state. Can you please help on this?
