PPM on Win7

Hello,

We having issue with Perl on Win7. Please see below error message:

Synchronizing Database ...
Downloading ActiveState Package Repository packlist ... failed 500 Can't connect to ppm4.activestate.com:80 (connect: timeout)
Synchronizing Database done

No issue with Windows XP. If customer is not connected to our network and working from home, he doesn’t have any issues. Thanks for your help.

Win 7 will try to use the Windows Firewall, which XP does not have.

See the PPM FAQ on how to configure PPM to use Firewalls/Proxy servers. The FAQ is in the Community FAQ section, in the online docs for PPM, and in the docs that shipped with your version of Perl.
