libperl not compatible on HP 11.11 PDK

OS: HP-UX ( PA-RISC )

Error when compiling script on HP 11.11 PA-RISC:

libperl.sl at '/opt/perl/lib/5.8.0/PA-RISC1.1-thread-multi/CORE/libperl.sl' is not compatible with the PDK.

Looks like it's expecting a different shared library. Can anyone assist?

That looks like the original Perl that shipped with your system. PDK will require a Perl based on ActivePerl. HP supplies newer versions of ActivePerl through and OEM agreement. You can download ActivePerl 5.8.8.822 (with 823 available soon) from HP.
