Setting "Recently Used" Projects in preferences has no affect

Posted by cmc on 2008-10-01 01:43

I changed the number of recently used projects in Preferences from 5 to 10 a couple weeks ago, but it seems to have no effect. With almost daily use and opening of more than 5 different projects, still only the 5 most recent projects are shown in the list. The setting in Preferences indicates that my choice of 10 was accepted.

Is this a bug in the software? Does this preference work for other users?

I've tested this with 4.4.1 on OS X (Tiger, not Leopard) and the preference setting works as expected.

You could try closing the start page, then opening it again (Window|Start Page) to see if that helps. It's probably related to this bug:

That helped. Now six projects appear in the menu and on the start page. Anyone know what the date next to projects is? Is it "date created"? It seems to be unrelated to the last time the projects were saved or opened.

The date is the last modified (last saved) time of the Komodo project (.kpf) file.

Cheers,
