PDK alternatives?

I have a lot of different Perl programs that run on Windows as service (PerlSVC) and in the icon tray (PerlTray).

What can i use as an alternative to the (now dead) PDK?

I am currently using since long time PAR::Packer. It can pack a perl script into a native executable, as PDK is doing. Unfortunately there is no easy way to choose an icon for the Windows executable.

I do not know of any good alternative for PerlSVC and for PerlTray.

Yeah, that's exactly my problem. It worked fine for PerlSVC and PerlTray for me for over a decade, so i have a lot of stuff that is using it.

I can probably work around a lot of those issues, but that is a lot of wasted time.

I wish ActiveState would just open source PDK, now that it is now longer maintained...
