Antivirus reported that perl contains trojan.

I just downloaded ActivePerl community edition "ActivePerl-". After running the installer, I was surprised that my Kaspersky internet security 2017 fired a warning, saying that the installer contains a trojan "PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic". Thus my installation was not completed.
I hope that this issue should be fixed ASAP.

If you downloaded ActivePerl community edition from our site, then Kaspersky is detecting it as a false positive. I would advise temporarily disabling your virus scanner while installing ActivePerl.

However if you dowloaded ActivePerl from another site, then all bets are off. I would advise downloading ActivePerl from our site and then trying to install it again.

I'm getting the same thing, but with Bitdefender reporting Trojan.RansomKD.6012219 being contained in ActivePerl-

And yes, I did download it directly from Activestate.

65 different, up-to-date, virus scanning engines report it's clean.
