Win7 won't pass command line arguments to @ARGV

I installed AS perl on my new Win7 machine, but it won't pass command line arguments to @ARGV.

I suspect it's a registry problem in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, but my changes haven't fixed it.

Does anyone know the line to change, and what to put there?

ActivePerl installers will set
assoc .pl=Perl
(which indirectly sets the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT)
ftype Perl="C\Perl\bin\perl.exe" "%1" %*

If your userID is not allowed to run assoc or ftype, the installer will not perform as expected.

If another distribution of Perl has been previously installed, the ftype value set by that distribution's installer might not be overwritten. Run ftype without parameters to see how it is currently set, and that may reveal if you have another Perl or not.
