This extension provides the TCL syntax checking (linting) support to Komodo Edit. The linter used to do the processing is ActiveState's specific TCL linter "kotcllint", the same linter that is already used by Komodo IDE.

Simply download and install the linter into Komodo Edit, then upon restarting you should have a new Komodo preferences catalog "Languages->TCL" where you can customize how the syntax checker works.

I did follow instructions and downloaded a file: kotcllint-0.1-ko.xpi.
However, it is not clear to me how exactly this file should be "installed
into Komodo Edit ? Where exacttly from within Komodo menu system
this file gets referenced and gets installed ?

I would appreciate the clarification.
Thanks,
Misa Rozman.

Hi Misa,

Once downloaded, you can install the extension in one of the following ways:
* drag/drop the downloaded xpi file from a file manager onto Komodo
* use the "Tools->Extension Manager" menu to open the dialog that manages extensions, where you can then use the "Install" button to locate and install a new extension.

Cheers,
Todd

Hi Todd,

It works after I did exactly what you've suggested!
I appreciate tour straightforward and prompt feedback.
I may be somewhat embarassed how simple it was to do it, but hey -
this is where the Komodo community comes handy :-)

Once again,
Thanks for your feedback!

Best regards,
Misa Rozman.
