Writting disk file becomes very slow when my exe starts by Expect on Windows XP

Greetings.

I have a problem with tcl-expect on windows xp.

My exe started by expect needs to write an data file at disk, it becomes very slow when writting the file on windows xp,but don't have the problem at Linux.

How to deal with it?

I will be thankful for some aid

The underlying architecture of Expect is different on Windows due to OS differences. On Windows it operates like a debugger, so you should see a slowdown in comparison. That was the only way to implement Expect at the time, though newer ways are possible if one would want to rewrite it.

Make sure that if you have expect responses waiting on anything, that you don't leave it to timeouts to act.
