Updating Komodo using *.mar files

Hi,
Can someone please tell me, how to update Komodo Edit using the .mar files? I'm currently using one of the beta versions of 5.1 and with so many updates it would be a lot more convenient to update to the latest version rather than uninstall and install the new version. I've looked over the mozilla forums on using the mar files but I haven't been able to make it work. Can someone please give me a step by step tutorial on how to do this right for Komodo Edit?

Thanks

The .mar files are used by Komodo's auto-update system. Are you able to use "Help|Check for Updates..."?

Note: You can change the Komodo auto-update channel to update more/less frequently. see:

Cheers,
Todd

I updated the channel-prefs.js file with the nightly option and I'm getting all the updates through the auto updater now. Great!

Thank you very much!

A language pack for Komodo Edit 5.1 is available here, with instructions for installing it:

This may be updated for Komodo Edit 5.2, but I haven't tested it.
