Using Komodi IDE alpha 2. I have loaded python 2.6 on OSX leopard. In the default python interpreter preference setting I can't change it to my new local interpreter without a workaround, and it doesn't pick up the normal terminal environment path (which I think is apple documented behaviour) so a minor irritant.
It would be better if you could manually type in a path to avoid the limitations of Finder browse.
Because the directory /usr/local/bin is hidden in finder using browse does not work to select the interpreter. Additionally even if I enable finder to show ALL hidden files, for some reason the browse function still fails to reveal the directory.
A workaround exists to create a soft link to the /usr/local/bin directory or wherever the interpreter is stored.
Probably the easiest way to add a directory to the PATH Komodo looks on is to go to Preferences / Environment and customize the PATH environment.
