Is there a way to determine the actual file name of a file by its associated "channel identifier" from the "open" command ?

No, this is something that you would have to create and maintain an array or dict to keep the relationship between.

The situation is, that file is being opened within somebody elses obfuscated code.

Then you don't even really know if the channel identifier even corresponds to a file. You can override 'open', but this seems like it needs to be an API question.
