_ctypes not found in ActivePython-

when I try to use ctypes I get the following error:

> /aspy25/bin/python test_ctypes.py

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "test_ctypes.py", line 4, in <module>
    import ctypes.test

  File "/aspy25/lib/python2.5/ctypes/__init__.py", line 10, in <module>
    from _ctypes import Union, Structure, Array
ImportError: No module named _ctypes

seems that a ctypes .so is not included ActivePython-
distribution or am I missing something?

Kind regards,

P.S.: on python bug tracker there is an open issue that ctypes cannot be compiled/installed on Solaris when compiled with the Sun C compiler.
Was aspython compiled with the Sun C compiler?

I should have known before asking

I just found the link where it is all documented:

describes that ctypes is not included on Solaris!

That's a pity.

Kind regards,
