Synchronisation with server

Having worked out how to remotely edit files, it doesn't look like the local and remote folders are properly synchronised. If I 'Add New Folder', then 'Import From Filesystem' remotely using SFTP, and then create a new file, it gets created on the remote server. But it does not appear locally under the correct folder, but is show 'free-floating' at the bottom of the tree. And if I then delete that file it dissappears from the local folder, but not the remote server. Refresh status does not apears to do it.

Is the behaviour that I want - to shadow the remote file-structure - not possible with Komodo Edit?

We do not have remote live folders in Komodo 4.0, which is what I think you are wanting. Remote live folders would give a live representation of the remote folder and also allow adding/removing through the Komodo project to also be reflected in the remote server.

This is something that is quite frequently asked. We will be adding and improve upon exactly this in the upcoming Komodo 4.x releases (likely Komodo 4.1 or 4.2 at latest).

With the current functionality in that "create new file" in that it does not go to the correct folder, that is a bug http://bugs.activestate.com/show_bug.cgi?id=66501, which has been fixed and will be released in Komodo 4.0.3.
