Installing ActivePerl 5.8 on Intel Solaris 9

I apologise for the tediousness of this question - I have tried
googling and the ActivePerl website with no luck:

I have previously installed ActivePerl 5.6 on a handful of Sparc
Solaris 9 boxes as follows:

pkgadd -a ActivePerl-5.6.1.638-sun4-solaris.admin -d
ActivePerl-5.6.1.638-sun4-solaris.pkg -r
ActivePerl-5.6.1.638-sun4-solaris.response ASperl

Where the ActivePerl-5.6.1.638-sun4-solaris.admin contained:

instance=unique
partial=nocheck
runlevel=nocheck
idepend=quit
rdepend=quit
space=quit
setuid=nocheck
conflict=nocheck
action=nocheck
basedir=default

and the ActivePerl-5.6.1.638-sun4-solaris.response contained:

BASEDIR='/disk0.7/RMMS/ActivePerl-5.6'

This automatically installed ActivePerl 5.6 to BASEDIR without any user
intervention required. I am now trying to install ActivePerl-5.8 on
some Intel Solaris 9 boxes and am trying the same method (the only
difference being I am now using the
ActivePerl-5.8.8.819-x86-solaris-2.10-cc-267479.pkg). It now always
seems to install to the default directory /opt/ActivePerl-5.8 instead
of the custom one I specify. I would be very grateful to know how to
make this package install to a custom directory without user
intervention and where I can find out what all these parameters mean.

Many thanks

Jon
