How to download extensions?

Posted by Wolv on 2008-01-18 09:02
OS: Linux

Am I stupid, or what? I just can't find a link to download any extension, for example
http://community.activestate.com/komodo-extension/remote-drive-tree

There is a box on the right, which says "Download:", but there is no link in it. I'm very confused...

I'm using Kubuntu/Firefox.

No, you are not going crazy. It's a technical problem on the Komodo community site after a recent upgrade. JeffG is now working on this issue.

Thanks for letting us know, I'll post an update once it's been fixed.

Cheers,
Todd

I've disabled the menu item for now, should have a fix on Monday.

Embarassingly simple solution, downloads now work for all users. =)

One question: all the "Read more..." links go to http://community.activestate.com/
Is this normal?

ToddW | Fri, 2008-01-25 11:46

On which page/link did this happen, I could not reproduce this problem (or else JeffG has already fixed it).

On this one: http://community.activestate.com/addons then just click on "Read more..." for any plugin.
I access it by clicking in the menu "Komodo->Extensions" on the left of this page. It still does not work for me at the time of writing and I forced "reload page" in Firefox and Safari.

I just noticed that this occurs when the user has not yet logged in to community site.

The links appear correct though once a user has logged in... weird. Jeff?

I re-tried both logged and not, Firefox and Safary (Leopard) and both point to the http://community.activestate.com

The difference was likely due to admin login priviledges.

The issue should now be fixed, thanks JeffG.

Cheers,
Todd
