dita xml catalog file doesn't create dita code auto-completion

OS: Windows

Hello,

I added the catalog-dita.xml file from a the local stored http://docs.oasis-open.org/dita/v1.1/CS01/dtd/ditadtd.zip file

via KomodoEdit: Edit > Preferences > Languages > XML catalogs.

But afterwards no dita auto-completion is available. Are there any other things to do to get dita xml validating/auto-complete running?

regards,

Karl

Note: there is a related forum thread here:

You may want to play around with the XML doctype settings and also you can manually set the doctype on the current file through the "Properties and Settings" preferences (you can right click on the file to access the context menu).

I know Troy did have this working inside of Komodo previously, so I'd imagine it would still be possible :)

Cheers,
Todd

Thanks a lot, Todd. I just was looking for the Open File > Dita maps, task etc menue entry like the http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/ has. Anyway, Komodo Edit has this nice search inside (xml) file feature and drag and drop of the open XML file tab into the XMLMindEditor ditamap buckets works fine.

Furthermore, I published your Komodo 4.0 Extensibility Challenge request at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/dita-users/message/10258

cheers,

Karl

Hey Karl,

The actual Komodo extensibility challenge for Komodo 4.0 has already finished (just over a year ago). People are still free to contribute their extensions to the Komodo community site and we'll gladly accept any such additions to add them into the main Komodo distributions.

Cheers,
Todd

I've put up a DITA extension which provides autocompletion on DITA files. It also adds a few templates:

Under "All Languages" and "Common:
- DITA-map
- DITA-Topic

Under Samples|DITA
- DITA-Concept
- DITA-Reference
- DITA-Task

Once you've used one of the templates, it'll appear in the "File|New ->" sub-menu for quick access.

Hey troyt,

thanks for your efforts :D

I submitted this on dita.xml.org product listing.
