Code Browser shows some files, not others

Posted by samgaines on 2008-06-25 09:50

Yesterday, I updated my Komondo from 4.3 to 4.4.

In my IDE editor, I have 5 separate PERL programs open. 4 of these PERL programs has their subroutines and other objects exposed under the “Code Browser” tab on the left. One no longer does. Prior to updating to 4.4, all 5 were visible. (All 5 are recognized as a PERL program). Is there anything new in the Komondo IDE that would prevent a file from being scanned?

Thanks

I remember there was a small change to the code browser for multilanguage files, but not much else, so it should still be working.

You might want to check your Komodo log files to see if there are any related errors:

I have the same problem when multiple Python files are open in V4.4 and this is across multiple WinXP based Komodo installs across the enterprise. This problem is sufficiently large as to force us to revert back to an older version of Komodo.

Edit:

I found that Komodo was claiming that the codeintel database was corrupt. I deleted the database. Not much testing, but the problem seems to have gone away now that the database was recreated.

I had the same problem and deleted the code intel db, and it solved the problem. It lasted a restart of komodo so I guess it's really fixed.
Someone should make a bug/info report on this so it's easier to find.

Close komodo
Open the folder ~/.komodoide/4.4//codeintel
Rename/Delete the folder 'db' and restart
Start komodo
