jQuery 1.2 is included

Komodo 4.3 includes an api catalog fo jQuery 1.2, based on jQuery 1.2.3. As far as I know there are no API changes in the 1.2.* versions, only bug fixes?

excellent extension

Thanks for the excellent extension. Could you please update it to work with the 4.4 series. I know it is just Alpha, but if you modify the XPI to allow 4.4 it works just fine.

It's pretty easy

You just need to create a simple Komodo extension that bundles and loads the mootools files:

1. File => New => Project from template
2. choose the Komodo Project template, a name for the project file, and a directory for the extension to live in
3. fill in the dialog that comes up with the relevant info

Once the extension project is created, you'll need to edit content/overlay.xul. The one for jquery looks like this:

<?xml version="1.0"?>

<?xml-stylesheet href="chrome://global/skin/global.css" type="text/css"?>

<overlay id="jqueryOverlay"
??

What does this extension exactly do ? I have looked into the XPI and it only seems to load the jQuery library into the XUL. I couldn't go further because the installed extension completely broke the IDE (Komodo-IDE 4.2 trial).

Many thanks

Developing X(HT)ML, CSS, PHP, JScript, VBScript + more, all mixed together, by hand, was crazy... Frontpage can't handle multiple languages (beyond MS proprietary), Dreamweaver is a pain with extra markup too (and Spry? Don't need another framework, thanks) so I spent a lot of time in Notepad, but now...

Komodo Edit has been amazing! I discovered it shortly after jQuery, and the jQuery extension is a lifesaver, I swear I code twice as fast now, thanks to the Komodo package. Anyway, the forums seem to be quiet around here, so I wanted to say thanks, keep up the good work!

Now it works

OK, now it is working for me, and looks great.

Here are some more ideas:
First of all, I would like to have an option to put all new commends in the main right-click menu, and not under the TabTools menu. Ideally, this would be a per-command option so I can leave some commands I rarely use under the TabTools menu, but put the more frequent command in the main tab menu.

Another thing to consider is having (configurable) key bindings for the TabTools commands.

Finally, here are some more commands that can be added:

Copy to clipboard:

file name

file path

file full path (path+name)

file content

Close all other files

Add file to Toolbox

Compare file with... (which currently only exist in the toolbox or project right-click menu)

Compare file with previous tab

Move tab to first/last/next/previous position

Show file "Shell context" menu, as if it was right-clicked in Windows Explorer

Show Windows' "File Properties" dialog

Backup file - copy it to another file, with changing the current file, which is different than Save as...

Make file read-only/writable

Undo close of last file

Custom commands that can be added by the user

Various commands that are currently available from regular menus, such as "Preview in browser", "Print", "Refresh Status", etc.

That's all for now.
Thanks for developing this extension and Komodo Edit in general.
