Do you mean like a tooltip (on hovering over the file name for example), or to actually change the name that is shown in the project tree?

showing a comment for files in the project view

Is it possible to show a comment for each file in the project view

the background is that I am working in an environment that has a build configuration file in every directory and i would like to have a project that contain only all my configuration files in a flat folder list but they all have the same way so i have to annotate the name with a comment of the path for such a project to make sense
