Why not try the 21 day free-trial ?

I like the perlapp application, with its ability to use the in-memory dynamic DLL-loader option. It allows one to run the application on machines that might have conflicting dll's installed and run!

The other tools in the PDK are quite usefull too.

Like PerlSvc
Convert Perl programs to native Windows services.

Perlapp performance

Hi there

I'm going to buy Komodo IDE and thinking about getting the PDK too, because I'm developing kinda lot on Windows and like to distribute my code to ppl without an (properly) installed perl environment (you know those Winnies :)).

Now my question:
Is there any disadvantage in a perlapp-compiled application compared to native, interpreted perl source? I heard, that compiled perl programs are pretty big in size but I'm looking more towards performance, regex-problems or module-compatibility issues.

Kind regards
Joel
